Guests traveling to Walt Disney World Resort this fall might consider staying at one of the seven Downtown Disney hotels and taking advantage of their discounts. Located on Walt Disney World (WDW) property, but not operated by Disney, these hotels offer a convenient location and are less expensive than comparable Disney Resorts.
The seven Downtown Disney (DTD) hotels feature well-known brands:
- Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort Hotel
- Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa
- Doubletree Guest Suites
- Hilton Orlando Resort
- Holiday Inn
- Regal Sun Resort
- Royal Plaza Resort
Located on or near Hotel Plaza Boulevard, most of the hotels are within easy walking distance of Downtown Disney Marketplace, WDW’s shopping, dining and entertainment area. They are also conveniently located near Lake Buena Vista’s Crossroads Plaza, which offers casual restaurants and shopping.
Downtown Disney hotels discounts for fall 2010
DTD hotels offer different specials, promotional codes and discounts throughout the year, particularly during Disney’s value season. Many hotels offer AAA discounts regularly, for instance, and DTD hotels also offer a DTD hotels “Win a Trip” contest for a 4-day, 3-night stay at one of the hotels.
It is not uncommon to find DTD hotels for rates below $100 a night during the fall, excluding holiday periods, and individual hotels will offer their own special promotions and discounts.
For fall 2010, the following discounts are being cross-promoted by all DTD hotels.
DTD hotels – Florida & Georgia Residents discounts: Residents of these states are eligible for up to 15% off the best available room rate, when booked directly at Downtown Disney hotels. Upon check-in, guests must present a valid Florida or Georgia driver's license or state-issued ID. Discounts may not be used with other offers, and black-out dates and other restrictions apply.
